Ah, Valentines Day. Whether you live & breathe all things pink, red & heart-shaped or you’re more of a low-key V-day kind of person, we think it’s a great time to celebrate things that are better done together, whether it’s with your partner, a family member or mates.
There is a whole raft of benefits to exercising with a friend. For one, it means that you have someone to keep you accountable and motivated. We don’t know about you, but we think it’s a hell of a lot harder to bail on your exercise plans when there’s someone else relying on you to be there.
Try going to group classes, that way you get the best of both worlds – a friend for encouragement (and a few laughs), and a fitness professional who can guide you on your way to getting the most out of your workout & looking after your body during class.
It’s all about balance, right?! If you eat well & exercise, there’s no reason why you shouldn’t treat yourself to weekend brunch with a friend every now & then. It’s a great way to catch up on all the latest in each other’s lives, but also to explore new places in your city. Try picking a café in an area that you haven’t been to before or want to check out, then go for a stroll to see what’s around after devouring some hotcakes or a cheeky smashed avo.
Sometimes travelling solo can be great, but what better way to maximise the fun on an adventure than with a buddy? It could be anything from a one day road trip to a few weeks in Europe.
Think quality time with your travel companion, and a photographer on hand to help you avoid those awkward selfies where your head takes up 80% of the photo & the view is barely visible. You’ll have lasting memories together, and if you do need some solo time, then split up for the day & report back for cocktails with amazing food and share what you each discovered.
I bet you didn’t see that one coming!
Our Mains & Sides serve two people, so to give you both a night off cooking & cleaning up, just grab one of each, plus your fave veggies. Then all you need to do is heat it, serve it, and eat it. Be sure to add a garnish for that little something extra, then take the credit for cooking from scratch. It’s the easiest way to become a Valentine’s Day hero.
