Holiday Delivery Schedule

Melbourne Cup

Due to the public holiday on Tuesday, November 5th, please note the following delivery schedule changes:

VIC:

  • No delivery on Wednesday, 6th.

NSW/ACT:

  • No delivery on Tuesday, 12th.

QLD:

  • No delivery on Monday, 11th.

SA:

  • Orders must be placed by Sunday, 3rd, for delivery from Thursday, 7th, until Saturday, 10th.

Delivery FAQS

How is the food delivered?

Our meals are delivered chilled, via refrigerated transport.

Your meals will be packed into an insulated cardboard box with a cooling gel pack. This is then delivered via refrigerated transport to your door.

You'll receive a text upon delivery. Our drivers will endeavour to leave your order in a safe location out of direct sunlight where possible - please ensure to bring your order inside and put your meals in the fridge once delivered.

How much is shipping?

Our shipping fee is a flat rate of $15 for refrigerated delivery, ensuring your meals arrive fresh and safely chilled.

Does your food come frozen?

Nope - our food arrives to you freshly prepared by the kitchen. Your delivery will be sent to your door in a refrigerated truck, so it doesn’t need to be frozen – it’ll be ready for you to heat up as soon as you’re ready.

If you don’t plan on eating your meals by the use-by date, you can absolutely freeze them. When you're ready to eat, we advise reheating the meal from frozen instead of defrosting or thawing your meal out first. It'll take about 5-6 minutes in the microwave.

Missing delivery?

If there are missing items from your delivery, you must contact us on (03) 8669 0587 9am to 5pm (AEST/AEDT) within 24 hours of the delivery time and we will take steps to verify and confirm any such missing items. Please see our T&C's for further information.

Cooking Healthy food for kids

School Holidays - Cooking with Kids

It’s the September school holidays and for those of you who are staying put at home, the biggest daily challenge you face is: how do I keep my kids busy? One activity which will appeal to your child’s love of fun is letting them loose in your kitchen. All kids love to eat, but they love to create even more, so getting them cooking in the next couple of weeks will provide lots of enjoyment for everyone. There are some really simple and delicious recipes for kids to try, however, the easiest course of action is to have plenty of ingredients on hand, so that the kids can ‘build’ their own meals. This way, each individual little person can create a meal that is unique to them; the flavours and the colours they like as well as the taste. The only proviso here is that they must eat what they cook! Some examples of food building:

  1. Mini Pizzas: start with a base of one tortilla wrap. Spread with tomato paste or ready made chunky spaghetti sauce. Have lots of ingredients handy to build. The kids can help prepare by chopping and slicing and dicing and putting in bowls. Choose as few or as many as you like: ham, luncheon meats, bbq chicken pieces, avocado, tomato slices, chopped olives, mushrooms, onions, red beans, capers, carrots, in fact any veg you have in the fridge. Grated cheese, or ricotta, to top it off and into the oven!
  1. Fajitas: again, tortilla wrap base. Building ingredients are bite sized pieces of either chicken, fish, or beef; you can help the kids chop and sauté. An easy salsa of chopped tomatoes, lime juice, apple and roasted peppers in a bowl ready to spoon on their fajitas nearby in a bowl, then chopped avocados and lime juice on top. Add sour cream for the finishing touch. Roll up and eat!
  1. Mini quiche pies: These can be built in small ramekins - fill with bite sized chicken pieces, peas, ham or bacon, chopped veges, mushrooms, any leftover bits and pieces. Have a large bowl of whisked eggs with some milk and a ladle for the kids to pour on top of their pie creation. Some grated cheese and chopped parsley sprinkled on top and they’re ready to go in the oven!
Not rocket science is it? Just lots of bits and pieces for the kids to look at, ponder over, and decide which ones they will choose for their individual creations. Lots of fun for the kids (and mum and dad….).
